Arana Jr.'s Lucas Oil team recognized as Hard-Working Crew

Hector Arana Jr. and the Lucas Oil Buell team were selected as Pro Stock Motorcycle's Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award winners for the 25th annual O'Reilly Auto Parts NHRA Spring Nationals presented by Super Start Batteries. Arana Jr. qualified No. 2 at the event and raced to a runner-up finish.

"We put in a lot of work during the seven weeks we had between races," Arana Jr. said. "Once we got to Houston and finally started racing, I got a lot of help from Dan Gonzalez and my dad (Hector Arana Sr.). We were very critical of our runs and precise about the changes we made to the bike. We knew we had to get every drop of performance the bike had in it to do well, and the work we put in paid off."

The Full Throttle Hard-Working Crew Award program awards bonus money to teams in all four NHRA Full Throttle categories ($3,000 in Top Fuel and Funny Car, $1,000 in Pro Stock and Pro Stock Motorcycle). ESPN's NHRA telecast crew determines the Hard-Working Crew from each class at every NHRA Full Throttle Drag Racing Series event.
