Erica Enders to appear on Wind Tunnel

One of the most popular drivers in NHRA will appear on one of the most popular auto racing talk shows on television Sunday night when KLR Group driver Erica Enders joins Wind Tunnel with Dave Despain.

Veteran broadcaster Despain has hosted the show on SPEED since 2003. Robin Miller and Tommy Kendall will co-host this Sunday's hour-long show, slated to start at 9 p.m. Eastern.

Topics are like to include Enders' historic victory two weeks ago, when she drove her GK Motorsports Chevrolet to a victory at Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Ill., to become the first woman to win in the ultra-competitive Pro Stock class.

Enders also got engaged later that night after winning when long-time boyfriend Richie Stevens proposed at the finish line in the left lane, the same spot where Enders defeated Greg Anderson hours earlier.

Enders' success and can-do attitude has earned her legions of fans, including more than 10,000 "Likes" on her Facebook page and more than 8,300 followers on Twitter.

The 28-year-old started racing at age 8 in NHRA's Jr. Dragster program before progressing through the Sportsman ranks and finally into the pro categories in 2005.

In addition to her Chicago victory, Enders has raced to eight final rounds in her career, amassing three No. 1 qualifiers. She currently sits sixth in the Pro Stock points standings.

Erica is an excellent example of what a person can be - both on and off the track. She's earned her success every step of the way and while no one likes to lose in racing, many in Pro Stock and elsewhere seem to have been pulling for Erica to "break through" and we are all excited that she has finally done so.
