Our Process: Our staff will adhere to the highest journalist standards at all times. Each story will be carefully thought out, researched, verified, and written to an exacting style to inform and educate the reader on a wide variety of drag racing topics. We will not be swayed by sanctioning bodies, race officials, advertisers, or sponsors.

Our Goal: To capitalize on founder and publisher Rob Geiger's reputation as a fair and dedicated reporter of the facts within the drag racing community. To this end, Geiger hired some of the best writers in motorsports so all of the pertinent stories can be told in a timely fashion. News of top NHRA professionals will be complemented by reports from the sportsman ranks and other sanctions in the United States and abroad.

Rob Geiger, Publisher/Managing Editor: Award-winning journalist Rob Geiger founded his go2geiger.com Web site in the spring of 2008 after eight years as senior editor of NHRA.com with a goal of providing drag racing enthusiasts an unbiased news outlet. Featuring a staff of respected and pedigreed journalists, go2geiger.com strives to deliver clear, concise, and well-researched stories on all aspects of drag racing.

A published author, Geiger became well known in the drag racing world through his daily work on NHRA.com, his meticulous stat-keeping, the Associated Press stories he supplied to the general media, the content that filled event programs, and his numerous regular appearances on radio programs across the country. He remains the drag racing editor for AutoWeek magazine and SPEED.com, which he has partnered with through go2geiger.com.

Geiger also is the managing partner of geiger media llc., a turn-key media and sponsor relations firm serving drag racing, motorcycle racing, angling, and winter sports.

Prior to joining the NHRA circuit as a media relations specialist in 1997, Geiger covered the Dallas Cowboys, the Dallas Stars, ran the sports staff of a daily newspaper, and worked as a disc jockey for two rock-n-roll radio stations. An honor graduate at the University of Houston, Geiger resides in Kingwood, Texas, with his wife Lori, daughter Sara, and son Rob Jr.

Craig Wack, Senior Editor: Craig Wack has been covering motorsports since 1994, including eight years at The Commercial Appeal newspaper in Memphis, Tenn. From drag strips and dirt tracks to the hallowed Brickyard in Indy, he's told the stories of racers at all levels of competition.

Wack began his journalism career at the prestigious University of Missouri and has won numerous awards for his sports writing. While at The Commercial Appeal, the talented writer and editor was an integral part of a team that won several Associated Press Sports Editor awards for its sports sections.

Wack also is a senior project manager at geiger media llc., a turn-key media and sponsor relations firm serving drag racing, motorcycle racing, angling, and winter sports.

Phillip Gary Smith, Senior Media Columnist: Senior media columnist Phillip Gary Smith has covered drag racing and enjoyed the sport as a fan for more than three decades. Although he normally writes about snowshoe and ultra trail races in his native Minnesota, he also supplies readers of go2geiger.com with periodic reports on the media covering the sport of professional drag racing, with an emphasis on the NHRA series.

Smith published his first book, "HARMONIZING: 88 Keys to Living in the Song of Life," in March, 2009.

Lee Montgomery, Staff Writer: Lee Montgomery has been in sports journalism for more than 20 years, working in racing since 1989 when he started covering NASCAR with The Herald-Sun of Durham, N.C. Montgomery has worked at some of the top websites in the sport, from RacingOne.com to ThatsRacin.com to NASCAR.com. He worked at NASCAR Scene/SceneDaily.com from January 2006-2010, covering what is now called the Nationwide Series, and also maintains one of the series' top websites, NNSracing.com Montgomery is an award-winning writer, having been honored by the National Motorsports Press Association and the North Carolina Press Association.

Jim Rockstad, Columnist: Jim Rockstad had a lengthy career in motorsports that began in 1957 at an airport drag strip in Shelton, Wash., that kindled a love for the sport that lasted until he retired at age 58. During that time period, Rockstad climbed the ladder in multiple aspects of drag racing, first as a pit crew member, then as a race car owner/driver, and onto his position as General Manager of International Raceways, where he ran four separate racetracks in the Northwest.

The business side of the largest race track operation in the Northwest included media buying, creative ad production for radio and television, and all facets of press work during a 29-year management career.

Since retiring in 2001, Rockstad has used his experiences to help various charity events. He's also been an Ambassador for Seattle's Union Gospel Mission with the annual "1 Meal, 1 Hope" program, raising funds for those in need. After raising two children, Rockstad and with wife Mo now reside in Issaquah, Wash.
